Abstract images, fragments and phrases from poems, notes, journals

Perceval Press, 8.5 x 9.75 inches. ISBN 0-9721436-3-7. 94 pages. $35

OUT OF PRINT

Summary: hardback, 96 pages, all photographs, no poetry, not paintings, some backgrounds are his handwritten notes in both English and other languages (hard to make out the words) {This book is unlike his previous books in that its entire layout. Personally, I really like this book.}

Introductions: None, not even a dedication.

Photographs: pages are filled with photographs, most of them abstract either from the camera itself, movement of the camera while taking a picture or possibly on development of the film (this is strictly my opinion); 14 pages consist of over-exposed strips of film in a sequence one assumes has meaning for Viggo; most of the background on the pages (with photos lying on top) are of Viggo's handwritten notes and scribblings and are difficult to make out. None of the photos are named on the pages, but there is a single page at the end of the book that lists the names and dates of the photos.

Familiar photos: several photos are from the Hidalgo set. On the last page there is a photo of Viggo taking a picture of a plant titled Self-Portrait

Dead Animals: None, that I could see!
