30,000 Feet
By Mithril
laughter darts from behind
the padded and tufted wall
that obscures my view
Addict
By ?
I can not live without it
feel it coursing through my veins
It makes me kind of dizzy
addict is my name
A Lover's Hope
By ?
No regrets of sweet liasons,
Memories that I will store,
But heartfelt hopes still are rising,
That one day you will be at my door.
An Ordinary Life
By ?
Life can be ordinary perhaps even mundane.
It is made up of segments.
Segments that I complete, one after another
Until the day bleeds into night.
Beholder II
By ?
See here, that odd congregation of flags,
those black dogs vanishing in a haze,
a leaf on a chilled forest floor,
curled trunk, stained tusk, white camisole
Cleansed
By ?
I passed a dog the other day,
only dead in the road.
I felt pity for the remains,
flattened and disgraced.
Disturbance
By ?
Thought I was past all this
Defeated, disappointed,
Drifting resignedly into twilight
Dreams
By ?
Visions fill my mind,
painting a picture far away.
Escaping for only a moment,
sweet slumber intoxicates me.
Evince
By ?
As I sleep
I feel you next to me
those big green eyes
watching my every move
Freedom
By ?
High from love
High from being free
Burn bridges
Accelerate on passion
Falling Apart At The Seams
By ?
An old porcelain bathtub sits in the middle
Of a damp bathroom,
Drip
Drip
Green Man
By ?
Are you the Green Man, then
Standing, horns raised
at the corner of my eye?
Inspiration
By ?
Never thought I could
get such inspiration
like you give me.
Never written poems
I sit by the window,
all alone in the dark,
looking at the twinkling stars.
It's a cold crisp night and
Kiss Of Life
By ?
Sleeping Beauty seemed to be everywhere at once, like a tornado of an unorganised chaotic dunce. Her spirit was numb, lying quietly still, choked by a poisonous apple - the wicked witches will.
Love Defined
By ?
If love and beauty were really defined
by our sacks of skin,
Wouldn’t love be measured by the size of a breast,
the width of a hip, an arm muscle, the span of a waist?
Looking from a distance
across the rugged mountain range
Seeing the sun's rays as they highlight
every nook and cranny.
Pictures
By ?
Stopped short
by a glossy image
staring through the soul
of a lens.
The great tower now jagged talons of stone
Clawing through broken ground,
Desperate fingers of a gigantic corpse
Suffocating silently under the weight of ages.
Up 'Til Now
By ?
A cold wind blew beneath my skirts
Then I entered your show
You softened what was numb
In an hour
Where is he to be found?
On the silver screen, TV, at poetry readings,
art galleries & book signing.
Protesting aganist war.
It's not what you think
I'm over the sink
In the yard with sweat
Of that is what makes me wet
You Enter
By ?
Movement and sound cease, as you wander into the room.
Even time stops at the merest hint of your presence.
A slight raise of your head, eyes lift from the floor, to scan unknown faces in the room.
Your Hands
By ?
To extend yourself towards the world
like way to perceive
hot, cold, rough, soft.
