Okay, maybe these guys are more likely to make it to VH-1, but the offer’s out there!
Billy Boyd: “I was over in the US a month ago and saw Orlando, Viggo and Elijah Wood.
“Beecake did a gig in Los Angeles and Viggo came along. He’s keen to get involved in the album. But I think I’ll pester him to be in a video.”

Star wars: actors’ strike divides Hollywood
From The Independent:
“To have people at the level of Tom Hanks and Jack Nicholson on opposite sides, one versus another, is a deplorable spectacle,” Oscar nominee James Cromwell told The Independent on Sunday yesterday. “Two unions going at each other is never a pretty sight. And in a climate in this country which is already profoundly anti-union, it’s also dangerous.”
AFTRA supporter Cromwell is upset by what he sees as the underhand tactics of the opposition, criticising SAG’s leadership for its “politicisation” of the pay negotiations. “You have, for example, Viggo Mortensen being persuaded to come out and criticise AFTRA. But he has been misinformed about the nature of our deal.”
Interview with Dominic Monaghan and Evangeline Lilly
Thanks to marce for finding these. There’s a very funny interview that aired on Argentine TV with Dom and Evangeline. They were in Argentina to film a pilot for CQC, an Argentine show that has been adapted for air around the world. Dom is wearing his San Lorenzo jersey that he says Viggo gave him, but I don’t think Viggo will be happy with the outcome. Take a look!

Viggo takes a stand in support of SAG
Jack Nicholson, Viggo Mortensen, Nick Nolte and other actors will come out in support of the Screen Actors Guild’s negotiating team and call for a smaller union to return to the bargaining table in a new ad to run Thursday, said a person familiar with the situation.
The ad, to run in trade publications Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, contains the names of more than 60 actors including Josh Brolin, and Rosanna and Patricia Arquette, said the person, who was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.
The high-powered endorsement of the union’s tactics comes just days after Tom Hanks added his name to a petition calling on actors to endorse a deal reached by the smaller American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
The battle of lists put a smaller group of guild-supporting stars like Martin Sheen and Holly Hunter against the AFTRA backers who signed onto an online petition at http://www.AFTRAYes.com led by Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Kevin Spacey, and some 600 other lesser-known actors.
The three-year contracts of both unions, covering prime-time TV and movie productions, expire Monday.
